Cliff Dwellings at Rogers Canyon

I spent the past three days in the Superstition Wilderness, hiking into Rogers Canyon to cliff dwellings built high upon the wall by the Salado people in the 1300s. The hike was grueling but the weather was perfect and the dwellings were awesome to see!

Rock Balancing

I created numerous rock sculptures during my three day trip to Rogers Canyon and left them to the wilderness.

Progress on the latest Painting

Last night I finished the cliffs on my latest painting, which is based on a photograph taken by my friend Bruce, down at Picacho Peak. All that's left now is to add the cactus and lizards and other fun little accoutrements, and this will be ready to hang!

Today I decided to post some of my favorite photos from Prague - an enigmatic city that is a little scary at first, but ultimately compelling and beautiful.

The Charles Bridge is the most famous landmark and connects both sides of the city with a multitude of ancient statues and street vendors. The plaque on the statue of John of Nepomuk has been polished to a shine by countless people having touched it over the centuries. Touching the falling priest on the plaque is supposed to bring good luck and ensure your return to Prague. I touched it and made a secret wish... so we shall see...









The imposing entrance to Prague Castle was made even more so by the heavy snowfall that day, the first snow of the year for this city.




The twisted "Dancing House" also called "Ginger & Fred" is one of the most unusual buildings, created by Frank Gehry and Vlado Milunic nineties.
