The Last Gasp

The final images my beloved A80 shot before finally dying for good - some surprising beautiful abstracts! All of these images are untouched, except for resizing - like the century plant sending up a flower as it's last gasp, this camera went out in style.

RIP: Canon A80

Today I bid farewell to the greatest camera I have owned, the Canon A80. This camera has taken the majority of the shots on this blog. It accompanied me across the Grand Canyon, through Zion, touring England, Ireland, Germany, Chech Republic, Austria, Canada, Mexico and countless backpacking trips. It was a great little camera that served me well, but finally died at the Homebrew Biathalon.

Des Moines, Iowa: 10th Annual Homebrew Biathalon

Just a couple images from the fun beerfest in Iowa we held during the storms. The sound system for the gig was Roger's classic firetruck, tricked out with stadium speakers and ipod dock (note the bike rack on the back). Joe Jr. manned the gargantuan grill that fed us all... it was a beautiful event (wipes tear) thanks Tom!

NYC

Spent a couple days in New York, stayed at the enigmatic Hotel Chelsea in NYC. It was very cool.

The Bell Trail

We backpacked the Bell Trail south of Sedona and discovered a fun place to leap into the crystal clear water. The cacti were blossoming and you can even see a bee in the yellow flower shot. I also had a chance to use my new tent for the first time. A fun trip to a beautiful place!
